How I can help you

Oftentimes, life throws us a curveball and we find ourselves unable to process or deal with our emotions. Nothing feels normal anymore and every task seems to drain our energy.

Hi there! My name is Evelyn and I work as an educator for college students in the Middle East. Early 2020, when I lost a parent all of a sudden I was left feeling gutted. I could not come to terms with this loss. People told me to move on, be positive and let go but no one told me how to accomplish that. I felt this deep sense of loss which affected my well-being, relationships and work.

Being a griever myself, I know how it feels when nobody can understand what you are going through and tell you words that are emotionally useless. There is often no proper guidance for anyone suffering from a personal loss, breakup, illness, country change, job loss, miscarriage, bereavement or more.

I feel passionate about being a guiding light to help and support all those who feel the same. With the Grief Recovery Method, I can help you come to terms with all the loss and pain that you have been holding onto, empowering you with honest meaningful tools to heal your heart and feel free again.

This is not any kind of counselling or therapy, rather an educational toolkit which I trust is essential to equip ourselves with. I strongly believe that change is good, and only when you let things go, you make place for beautiful and wonderful things to happen. That is why, my wellbeing agency 'purisoul' was born to help and support people to bring about a meaningful change.

Please feel free to have a ‘no obligation’ chat with me. I am here to hear you out without any judgement, or criticism and review how this programme can help you heal. Your heart deserves to feel lighter and you deserve to recover.

Over 40+ life losses can leave us feeling bereft

When we think of bereavement, we usually think of the death of a loved one. Most people looking for bereavement counselling or a grief coach only feel entitled to do so if someone close to them has died.

However there are over 40 different personal losses that can leave us feeling devastated, heartbroken, lost, hopeless and ultimately cause the same emotional and physical symptoms of grief.

The Grief Recovery Method is unique in that it is applicable to any and all kinds of loss. Each Certified Grief Recovery Specialist has been trained to guide grievers without judgement, criticism or analysis. We do not compare losses and we know that every griever is unique.

Not only can the action steps within the Grief Recovery Method be applied to any type of loss, they can be used again and again with any future losses that occur - once you have participated in a Programme, you will have all the tools you need to cope with loss later in life.

"I lost my dad suddenly 40 years ago when I was eleven. At the time no one talked to me about the loss. It wasn’t discussed at home or school. I saw my mum struggling - so I decided I had to show her I was fine to give her one less thing to worry about. I told myself he wasn’t dead - he’d left us to start a new life. It was easier than facing the reality. A further tragedy occurred when our second son was still born - again I dealt with the loss the only way I knew. Again, I tried to carry on as normal thinking I was protecting those around me.

"I had grown used to carrying this personal pain. I am a shy/quiet person and I feel has was impacted by my losses. I feel this resulted in fewer friendships and has held me back developing my career development. I wasn’t sure if I wanted to get involved with grief recovery because firstly, talking about this would get me upset and secondly, I feel it had been almost 40 years since the loss of my father and 17 years since the loss of my son.

"A friend at work had seen the positive impact the service had on a friend after she had suffered a loss. So, when I brought up my personal loss, they recommended it for myself. So, this led to an initial conversation with grief recovery specialist Evelyn.
Evelyn is lovely. She’s very understanding and gave me a safe space to share my grief without ever feeling judged. I really did feel she was on my side and it felt great having someone on my side in an area of my life very few people have been willing to help. I felt confident in her knowledge and she was very skilled at getting to the core of my problems. She’s had a very positive impact on my life and I’d recommend anyone if a similar situation to myself to consider working with her.

"Each session I’ve done with Evelyn feels like I’ve lightened my load and my grief is starting to heal. It feels like the open wound is beginning to heal. I will always have the scar to remember my dad and son but the pain is now getting easier to manage. I never thought that would happen - I’d always thought my grief was something I had to carry for the rest of my life."

"I had just gotten out of a relationship which had left me shattered. It was like seeing my hopes, dreams and expectations breaking at the hands of another person. I felt this raw pain where I couldn’t trust anyone anymore and I didnt think I would be ready to talk to someone. My close friend recommended Evelyn and I came across the concept of how the method was an evidence-based action plan as compared to traditional talking therapy.

"Evelyn has been the heart with ears that I didn’t even know I needed. Whilst the grief recovery programme has been quite the journey, Evelyn has been there each step of the way to support me and guide me through the programme from start to finish. For anyone who feels their pain cannot be understood, I would highly recommend working with Evelyn and her purisoul wellbeing agency. Just be prepared for the commitment and trust this journey. I feel so much better that I am finally able to let go off my pain."
